Recent events on the world stage have pushed many proposed blog subjects to the back burner. It is time to address a very serious question: How do we, in western society, pursue a holy war?
This was not a problem for Pope Urban II back in 1095. In those days we had the stomach for holy warfare and the rules of engagement were fairly simple; if they ain’t us, kill ’em.
War is no longer as simple as it once was, the good guys (us) against the bad guys (whoever). In this era of globalization, with many if not most of the world’s governments being controlled by corporate interests, the lines are all blurred. This is why we find ourselves fighting an enemy force on one side of a national border while being allied with that same force on the other side of the border. Warfare as we understand it today is not much more than nation building for corporate interests.
We are at war with Radical Islam. We did not declare this war but we cannot opt out of it either. The catch 22 is that this enemy wins by default if we do not engage in battle on their terms and they win a different sort of victory if we do engage them as this is what they want. Their goal is to bring about the final battle and the return of The Mahdi. This is not some deeply held, arcane secret, the literature is readily available.
So many people in the media and the blogosphere are wringing their hands in despair over the terrorist attacks, asking how can anyone be so barbaric, so cruel and so uncaring of human life. To them I say, wake up and do the research on this enemy.
They are not hiding their agenda. It’s simple. They believe the war will bring about the return of the 12th Imam and usher in the Universal Caliphate.
Okay, so you don’t believe that will happen. Doesn’t matter. They believe it and are willing to wear a suicide bomb into your favorite gathering place in order to further their cause.
We need to decide rather quickly what we are willing to do to prevent that from happening.
Here in the USA we have no national leadership on the subject of waging a holy war. In my opinion this is because it is not in the interest of their corporate masters. When your profits come from all sides of a multilateral conflict you are in effect fighting yourself if you engage on the battlefield.
The time to get our act together is now because this enemy will continue to attack until we engage and each attack on his part serves as a recruitment tool to swell his ranks.
Get loud. 300 million shouting voices can drown out whoever the 535 in Washington are currently listening to. They must begin to call this war what it is, a struggle for the very soul of our culture, and commit to an effort to win it.

It would seem that “they” always know more than we. This because the stated agendas of those in power are rarely their true agendas. Stated agendas are usually put forth in order to win the support needed to carry out the hidden agenda.
Great post. Obama, the Traitor in Chief, referred to ISIS as the JV squad. And he refuses to call them terrorist. Although he calls the GOP and conservatives terrorists every chance he gets. We are at war and Americans need to get their heads out of their iphones, ipads, etc. It will be a pleasure following you.

You’re absolutely right, we need to get our shit together and put a stop to this holy war before they completely destroy our modern society.
I don’t know how, but I think they need to be forced to ACTUALLY live the way they SAY they want to live. Yeah, shove them right back to the REALITY of the 6th century. That would mean no guns, no bombs, no refrigeration, no modern medicine, no electricity, no air conditioner, no cars, no airplanes, etc, etc, etc. Yes, get those radical muslims to live that way and see how long they themselves are willing to put up with it. I bet not a one of them would last a week!
How about we go back to the level of isolationism that was in play when America became a great nation. Become self sufficient in manufacturing and energy and those “American” companies that wish to headquarter off shore, fine, let them be subject to the same import restrictions and tariffs as any foreign company. That “war” in the Middle East has been going on for 1400 years and counting. We’re only in it for the dollars it generates.
