Just a hint to all the indie authors out there.  If you aren’t familiar with Goodreads, visit their site and consider giving away some books.  I am just closing out my second giveaway and I can’t think of a less expensive way to advertise.

All it costs is the wholesale price of your book and the postage.  In exchange you get hundreds, if not thousands of people looking at your product, people who might not have ever noticed you otherwise.  And these are not just people, they are certified, dyed in the wool, card carrying readers.  In an age where people will proudly proclaim that they don’t read, having access to such a group as this is truly a blessing for any indie author.

You control the number of winners by how many books you choose to give away but all the other entrants are one step closer, albeit a large step, from purchasing your book.  And if the right folks win your books you can achieve the author’s holy grail, reviews.
