Ice Cold     First a little history.  I recently published the second in what I call the “Best-Bart” series.  Its title is “The Ice Cold Art Show”.  The first was called, “The Best Bart Show.”

BBS121     This project initially began as homage to two very real stand up guys, Harold Best and Bart Stewart. You can learn more about them by following them on facebook.

When I started “Best-Bart” I thought it would be just a quick throwaway piece, maybe short story or novella length.  But the characters and their derring-do attitudes quickly grew on me and it ended up at my personal standard length for a novel, just over 200 pages.

The second and latest story sprang from an article on art stolen by the Nazis in World War Two.  I combined that with concepts from the “war on drugs” and a possible cause for the disappearance of Malaysia flight 370.  These elements, mixed together, resulted in ‘The Ice Cold Art Show.”

Now the free books.  There is a painting used as an inset on the cover of “The Ice Cold Art Show.”  I will send a copy of each of the “Best-Bart” books to the first two people to correctly identify the artist, first and last names please, responsible for the painting.

There may or may not be a third.  That will be dictated by economics.  I have invested more than a year getting the first two written and published.  Whether a third will be created depends entirely on the sales numbers for the first two.

Andre      So, all you art buffs, name the artist.  Post your answers to comments or email to rixlibris@aol.com

Head on over and participate in a creative book give-away.

That painting has always been a tad unsettling. I am thrilled with the new books. And since I have not been the deliverer of eggs as of late–I’ve not known they were in the works. I have been neglecting you. And I’ve been trying to lose weight, so there has been no cake at my house. But soon, there will be visiting WITH cake. Give your Bride my best love.

“Andre” has been sort of our mascot around here. We’re sure that he was a study done as a part of a larger painting but I have searched listings for the artist and have not spotted our guy in any of the others.
